We started Dax Board Co. because we saw a need for beautifully designed, lightweight, and stable paddle boards that could elevate the paddleboarding experience and allow people to step away from their hectic lives and into nature.
What started as an adventure in Kauai soon turned into a dream of long summer days on Lake Tahoe with Jessica’s family—and the realization that stand-up paddleboarding was more than a trend; it was a lifestyle. With Jessica leading the charge on all things creative, brand, and direction, and Brandon bringing years of experience in kayak rentals, sales, and logistics, we knew we had the right foundation to build something different.
In 2012, we opened our first retail store in Lake Tahoe. Over the next 12 years, we rented and sold just about every paddleboard on the market—and noticed the same issues again and again: too heavy, too unstable, or just not something you’d be excited to take out on the water. So, we decided to reimagine what a paddleboard could be.
Our mission? To craft paddle boards that are simple, modern, and sustainable. We believe paddleboarding is a fantastic way to connect with nature, and our products reflect our commitment to preserving the environment that makes these adventures so magical. At Dax, we want you to break free from the daily grind and reconnect with nature.
